Today was a double block of class, so we went to the auditorium and did light painting. Light painting is a technique that uses a moving light source to make a drawing during a long-exposure photograph.
This photo was actually an accident. The sunset was so vibrant and bright that I had to get a picture of it. Unfortunately, none of the pictures came out good so I stopped taking them. While I was putting my camera down, I accidentally took this picture.
These snaps were taken at Tangerini's in Millis MA, the class took a trip there to shoot some intresting items and animals using the seven elements of art (line, shape, form, color, value, texture, and space) and the principles of design (rhythm, movement, pattern, balance, emphasis, proportion, contrast, and variety). In these photos the many elements work together and fit together nicely as a slideshow. In each photograph at least one element is represented.
Our first project during the course was to photograph my favorite thing. This happens to be one of my favorite places. This photo was taken in Rockport MA, the kayaks of a local tour company perfectly contrasted grey-blue water. After a little color editing they really pop off the screen.
